about the Enhanced danceWEB Europe Contemporary Dance Coproduction Programme

The Enhanced danceWEB Europe Contemporary Dance Coproduction Programme (2005-2008) started in 1999/2000 as a pilot project supported by the European Union among „experimental measures“ and developed as danceWEB-Europe (2002-2005), a three year project supported by the Culture 2000 programme of the European Union. Since its creation it benefited to 45 dance productions.

This initiative is intended for emerging European choreographers and dancers with the aim to improve their production conditions and to foster cultural diversity within Europe by supporting multinational projects.

The Coproduction Programme is attentive to the career of former danceWEB scholarship recipients ("WEBers") and aims to support some of their projects.
The network Enhanced danceWEB-Europe also undertakes a commitment towards Eastern European artists and supports coproductions by choreographers from these countries.

The choreographic projects liable to be supported should be full-length productions with artists from at least three European countries. They are selected by the network partners and put forward at general meetings.
